Applications

Our business intelligence suite currently consists of basic modules and various specialized applications. For convenience we have organized them into four functional groupings:Data, Analytics and Action; Planning and Decision Support; Scheduling and Attainment; and Other Facilitating Technologies.

These applications gather, organize, display, and distribute information used to support near real-time fact-based decision-making.

Process Analysis and Management Reporting collects and displays production information as it becomes available. By applying key performance indicators around throughput, manual time, automated run time, downtime, WIP, backorders, change-over, cycle time, and many other calculations, we help clients use technology to visualize business performance.

This visualization can be achieved at a number of levels, such as operator, shift, equipment type, product family, SKU, by plant, etc. at various levels of detail, making our solutions as granular as they need to be for any given process or scenario. Users are able to review, edit and analyze near real time data. Operators are able to see and evaluate their work as it takes place, while supervisors are better equipped to prioritize their time based on what’s happening at the moment.

Action Item Manager captures, categorizes, tracks and manages corrective actions and slated operational improvements identified at all levels of the organization to monitor progress, sustain throughput and improve performance. To the extent possible, we encourage our clients to capture and relate dollars saved to every continuous improvement opportunity, Lean program event, and project initiative.

Labor Management and Reporting collects, analyzes and displays labor resource information, as it becomes available, in the form of actionable reports, allowing users to better match labor activity to work requirements, i.e., reduce overtime.

Inventory Analyzer performs ABC analysis of inventory on-hand to identify opportunities to reduce overall inventory based on volume, turns, margins and operational complexity.

Profitability Analyzer Allows you to analyze, using actual cost to produce, all SKUs to determine opportunities to improve margins at defined market prices.

LeanView™ is a closed-loop system that addresses the complete spectrum of needs for organizations engaged in a transition to Lean. Developed and supported by our strategic ally Orlando Software Group, Inc. (OSGi), LeanView is built on Microsoft’s Visio™, Excel and Project products and supports the systematic collection, design, analysis, reporting and dissemination of both product and service value steam mapping data in multiple industry settings. LeanView can help companies of all types and sizes cost-effectively design, evaluate and implement Lean processes to improve their operational and financial performance.

ProcessView™ creates process maps at any level of the organization while capturing the associated performance, probability of path information and financial data to help quantify and prioritize identified improvement opportunities.

These applications are used to plan and schedule people, material and work in an optimal sequence for more efficient utilization of resources.

Capacity Resource Planning helps ensure adequate resources to achieve your production plan. It provides a realistic view of available versus required resources at the item, product or family level. As a result, you’ll have a much clearer understanding of the people, machines, tooling and materials needed to achieve your production plan. USCCG’s capacity resource planning system helps ensure adequate resources to achieve your production plan.

Decision Scoring Framework allows you to evaluate alternative decision outcomes within specific parameters and against pre-determined criteria to select the best course of action from available alternatives.

These applications assist in the day-to day attainment of the business plan.

Time-Phased Production Scheduling is an advanced planning and scheduling tool that considers all resources identified on routers when calculating operation start/end times, creating material movement schedules, coordinating tooling schedules and determining labor requirements. As a result, you’ll be able to identify and avoid resource conflicts before they happen to ensure an uninterrupted production process.

PHLo™ Hospital Performance Management System - PHLo (pronounced “flow”) is a fundamentally different approach to hospital performance management. Developed in cooperation with leading hospitals, PHLo recognizes that overall hospital performance is more than just the sum of the parts. It is a function of how seamlessly and efficiently those parts work together. Advanced Planning and Scheduling This module, developed and supported by our Netherlands-based strategic ally Quintiq, improves supply chain planning so companies can make and deliver the right product, at the right cost, at the right time. It has been specially configured for the metals, transportation and logistics industries and delivers the flexibility they require in a solution attuned to their special needs. In the process, they gain a competitive edge based on lower costs and faster delivery times by maximizing the productivity of existing personnel and equipment.

Mine Profit Optimization system recognizes that as a mine changes, daily shift, weekly, and monthly production resources and targets need to adjust as well. This unique enabler realistically forecasts profitability and depicts required manpower and equipment; operating and maintenance support needs under various conditions; and levels of operating performance thereby helping management control of the many variables that can mean the difference between success and failure in meeting profit goals.

Asset Reliability System - Ivara’s EXP Software Solution collects, analyzes and displays all asset condition data needed to manage the health of an asset as part of an asset reliability program - ensuring that the right maintenance is performed on the right equipment at the right time.

These applications facilitate access to knowledge and information that supports optimization of the entire enterprise.

Proxim-IT™ Business Intelligence Portal A web-enabled platform that allows users to save, display and share operational information using tools common to Lean methodology, such as value stream mapping and business scorecards.

M-Abler® Blended Learning Solution A learning portal used to access e-learning and classroom training; create and deliver content; monitor, manage and document students’ mastery of subject matter.

Flexsim ™ Manufacturing Simulation Software, developed and supported by our strategic ally Flexsim Software, Inc., is an object-oriented simulation environment for modeling both discrete-event and continuous (fluid) flow processes like manufacturing, material handling, and workflow. It helps engineers, managers, and decision makers visualize and test proposed operations, processes, or systems to be explored without the disruption, cost, and risk involved in making real-world changes.

Sales and Operations Planning USCCG’s sales and operations planning module allows you to effectively balance supply and demand on a regular and formal basis. It helps establish appropriate sales targets, inventory levels, and production rates for various levels of forecast market demand. As a result, you’ll be able to smooth out your operation from front to back and avoid the all-too-common problems of material shortages, excessive inventories, manufacturing overtime, and customer dissatisfaction.

AIM™ Performance-Based Logistics Management System AIM (for acquire, implement and manage) is an integrated operating system that enables defense contractors to profitably meet performance goals for individual components, and/or an entire weapons system, throughout their entire life cycles. It can improve PBL contract capture rates and program profitability through better preparation and superior execution.

AIM’s Readiness Assessment is a first step in rapidly preparing a company to aggressively pursue and win PBL contracts. Using state-of-the-art value stream mapping technology, it creates an accurate baseline of existing processes and capabilities which are then compared to those defined in Performance-Based Logistics: A Program Manager’s Support Guide to identify critical gaps that need to be addressed. We then develop an action plan to close those gaps in a rapid and effective manner - providing enhanced capability to win and deliver PBL contracts.

Live Production Planning USCCG’s live production planning system helps match the supply of eggs, poults, and mature birds to kill facility demand years in advance. This unique enabler helps simplify buying and selling of eggs, poults, and mature birds; managing breeder flocks, hatchery set, and poult placement schedules; and ranch brooding and grow-out, as well as placement of mature birds

The system not only projects birds available for processing years in advance, but also features a supply-and-demand analysis (also known as a position report), which allows the live production manager to identify potential shortfalls or excesses in inventories of eggs, poults, and mature birds, and plan accordingly.
