Challenge - Improving Operational Efficiencies

The federal government traditionally purchases goods and services to solve problems with little or no focus on improving the operational efficiency of the organization, i.e., doing more with the same or fewer resources. As the baby boomers retire over the next five to ten years, there is projected to be a significant loss of expertise. Additionally the number of retirees may exceed the number of people available to hire in some locations. The federal agency needs to improve efficiency/productivity, and throughput per labor hour to maintain the level of service required of it.

What We Think

“USCCG has specialized in improving the operational components of organizations in the private sector for almost 40 years. The tools and techniques used in industry are applicable to the public sector. Now is the time to focus on operational improvement to ensure the organization is capable of fulfilling its mission when the loss of personnel to retirement becomes a reality.”
