Challenge - Improving Inventory Control and Cash Flow

Because metals plants are most efficient when operating continuously, the integration of production scheduling, inventory monitoring, and order backlog must be very close. Metals plants may produce hundreds of different products and carry large inventories. Cash flow can be uneven, since plants are most efficient when making large quantities. For the same reason, finished-product inventory build-up can be substantial.

What We Think

“Our advanced planning and scheduling solution can help diversified metals plants make and deliver the right products at the right time and at the right price.”

– J. Michael Spratt, Metals Industry Practice Leader
